Let me start out by saying that I had sooo much fun yesterday. My friend, extremely talented fashion designer, Abi Ferrin, asked me to be a model for her latest book, "Women of Purpose." The book details influential women who have been supportive of Abi's career in fashion and her comely designs.
Once we got the tunes blaring, Rolling Stones to be exact, we shot in a beautiful open loft in downtown Dallas at photographer, Kent Barker's studio. Kent was great to work with because he knew exactly how to get feeling and expression out of me, not to mention he takes the most exquisite shots. Some of the poses I had to strike were extremely acrobatic and required lots of strength and control (i.e. like when my leg was propped up straight along a wall while leaning back on a chair-think Madonna's current ad for Louis Vuitton). All I have to say is thank God for Pilates!
Also on hand were dynamic styling duo, Darian Bishop (hair) and Brooke Knight (makeup) from the famed Toni & Guy salon. They gave me the most killer Veronica Lake like, old, glam Hollywood look for the day, even adjusting the length of my hair from long to short.
I feel so honored to have been chosen to participate in this project and absolutely loved every minute of it. Abi will be showing her collection in Miami, the perfect place to showcase her sexy and flirtatious collection, later this month. If you haven't already, you should check out her site, http://www.abiferrin.com/.
